Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

At Atkore, we recognize the importance of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)* in guiding global efforts toward a more sustainable and equitable future. These 17 goals provide a framework for addressing key challenges and advancing long-term positive change. We are committed to contributing to these goals and have identified eight SDGs where our impact is most significant, aligning our efforts with areas where we can make the greatest difference.

Goal 3 – Ensure healthy lives
and promote well-being for all
at all ages



Our commitment to fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive workplace is illustrated by our Culture Excellence Awards for Work-Life Flexibility and Compensation & Benefits including our employee assistance programs. We also ensure workplace safety through our EHS Incidence Reporting Standard, which facilitates timely reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to maintain a secure and well-being-focused environment.

Quality Education

Goal 4 – Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all

We invest in lifelong learning and career growth through comprehensive employee development that includes cultural onboarding, skill-based training, job qualification programs, and mentorship development. We support employees in continuing their education through our tuition reimbursement program and our learning management system (LMS). We also provide opportunities for career advancement through our Atkore Leadership Development Program (ALDP).

Affordable and Clean Energy

Goal 7 – Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all


Our products play a key role in supporting the transition to clean energy by enabling more green energy solutions. Also, we are committed to advancing clean energy by installing solar panels at certain facilities and transitioning fleet vehicles to electric at select sites.

Decent Work and Economic Growth

Goal 8 – Promote Sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full of productive employment and decent work for all

We are dedicated to fostering a strong workplace culture built on our values: Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence. Our environment is centered around a strong focus on engagement and alignment and empowering our employees to drive positive results in the workplace. Our commitment to employee well-being and ethical business practices is reflected in our Human Rights Policy and workplace initiatives.

Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure class=

Goal 9 - Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation

Atkore innovates with sustainability in mind, developing products that support grid hardening infrastructure and renewable energy solutions. Our commitment to quality and continuous improvement ensures that our innovations help drive the transition to more sustainable infrastructure and energy systems. Additionally, our HDPE conduit strengthens a resilient infrastructure by enabling Fiber-to-Home and promoting widespread broadband access.

Sustainable Cities and Communities

Goal 11 – Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable


Our products play a key role in supporting green electrification, contributing to the development of more sustainable communities. Additionally, for the local communities we operate in, the Atkore Family Foundation provides financial assistance to employees, as well as employees of customers and suppliers, who face unexpected hardships like fires, floods, hurricanes, and other family emergencies.

Responsible Production and Consumption

Goal 12 – Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns


We are committed to responsible consumption and production through effective recycling and waste management practices. Our Conflict Minerals Declaration ensures ethical sourcing, and we have published Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for products that represent approximately half of our global sales, providing transparency in our environmental impact. Additionally, our Supplier Integrity and Sustainability Policy reinforces sustainable and ethical practices across our supply chain, promoting accountability and responsible stewardship.

Climate Action

Goal 13 – Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts


We are actively addressing climate change by tracking goals set in 2020 for Scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions reduction and also disclosing key environmental data and material climate risk information. As an Energy Star Partner of the Year for the second consecutive year, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, supported by our dedicated ESG Steering Committee.
